Good course, slow support

I enrolled in the Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health First Aid. The course content was really thorough and easy to follow online, which I appreciated. It covered a lot more than I expected for a Level 2. My only real gripe was getting a response from support; it took a few days to hear back about a small issue I had with one of the assessment questions. It wasn't urgent, but it could be quicker. Overall, I feel like I got good value for the knowledge gained.

Pretty decent online learning

Needed to brush up on some stuff for work, so I signed up for the Level 2 Certificate in Data Protection and Data Security. It was all online, which is good 'cause I could do it whenever. The learning portal was easy enough to figure out. No real dramas, just got on with it and finished the modules. Felt like I actually learned some useful bits. It wasn't mind-blowing but it did the job, you know?

Helpful and well-structured

I decided to take the Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration. The ordering process was really simple through their site, and I got immediate access to the learner portal. The modules were well-structured, breaking down complex topics into manageable sections, and the online assessments were fair. I did have a question about submitting one of the assignments, and their online chat support was surprisingly quick and helpful, which was a relief. The content felt relevant for someone looking to get into an admin role, and I finished it feeling like I had a solid foundation. It's a good option if you need to boost your CV.

Consistent quality, returning customer

This was my third course with Learning Curve Group, this time the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young Peoples Mental Health. I've found their courses to be consistently good. The content is always relevant and the online platform is reliable. I appreciate that the format hasn't changed much, it makes it easy to jump back in. Delivery of the cert takes a bit, but that's been the case before, so I expect it. I keep coming back because I know what to expect.

Free course was worth it

I was looking for a free course to improve my skills and found the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service through a government funding option. The eligibility check was easy enough, and I didn't pay anything out of pocket, which was great. The course material was basic but covered the essentials well. For a free offering, it definitely felt like a worthwhile investment of my time. It's hard to beat free education.

Are these qualifications actually recognized? Like, if I get a Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care, will employers actually care?

A Ashley B. 2 weeks ago
Absolutely, they're nationally recognized. I used my Level 3 Adult Care qualification to land a better role, definitely legitimate.

They're usually NCFE CACHE or TQUK accredited, so yeah, legit. It's not just some random certificate you print at home.

Thinking of doing the Mental Health First Aid course. How long do these courses usually take to finish? I work full time so evenings and weekends mostly.

A Ashley 3 days ago
It really varies, I did a Level 2 with them and it was self-paced. Took me about 6 weeks doing a few hours a night.

Yeah, they say it's flexible. I think it depends on the specific course, some are definitely shorter than others. You can probably knock out the Level 2s pretty quick.

I saw something about free courses. Are any of them actually free or is it just a marketing thing? What's the catch?

S Sandra 1 month ago
A lot of them are genuinely free if you meet the eligibility criteria, usually based on where you live or if you're unemployed. I got my Safeguarding training through them for nothing.

It's not really a catch, just depends if you qualify for government funding. If you do, then yes, free. Otherwise, you pay.

Anyone know if there's an NHS discount? Or any other deals floating around right now for the paid courses?

D Danielle Moore 5 days ago
Pretty sure they do an NHS discount, yeah. Check their site or if not, sometimes they have seasonal sales like around Black Friday or September intake.

I got 10% off my course last month with a general online courses promo, so keep an eye out. And sometimes student discounts apply too if you're still studying elsewhere.
